: : People Are Talking about ASSY® Wood Screws from
Log & Timber Connections LLC
"You have to know, I don't change easily. We used 3/8" x 12" lags. What else would a log company use? Will sent us samples, called us, visited us, brought samples, explained how ASSY Wood Screws worked. Everything a salesperson should. But, I'm not easy. So, at the 2007 Atlanta Log Home Show I asked Will to use ASSY Wood Screws to assemble our demo log corners, in our booth! The man has guts! He came over, ran them in, tightened them down, backed them out, and repeated the demo. They worked!
The following month, back in Colorado, we placed our first order. That was a year ago. Since then: No problems! No failures! Great product! Our contractors tell us they are the best thing since rechargeable drills (which is all you need with ASSY Wood Screws). The pull down with ASSY Wood Screws is much better than anything we've used. And with no pre-drilling needed we've reduced cut time in our plant enough to offset any difference in wood screw cost. And they are much easier to inventory and ship due to the smaller package size and weight.
We had looked at several other "skinny screw" companies. Until we met the people at Log & Timber Connections LLC I didn't give any of the others a second thought. Now anyone would be hard pressed to change us from Log & Timber Connections LLC and the Assy wood screw!
As I said before, I don't change easily.
The Assy wood screw is the right choice!"

"I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with your ASSY® log screws. We just came off of our largest log home assembly and could not have done the quality job that we achieved with any other brand of fastener. The bits do not strip and with your shank cutter the screws do not heat up and break. The aggressive threads allow us to turn 1/8" gaps into seamless log connections. Thanks again for the personal service and for dropping by our log yard to see if there was anything more you could do for us."

"I own part of Carolina Timberworks, a 5 year old company that builds timber structures and also does a lot of retro-fit timber trusses. I also worked for another timber frame company for around 8 years before starting this one with my partner. Up until last year I have always used another type of structural screw. The other screws worked but there were issues that were bothersome, and at one time I met with the owner of that company and asked if there was any way to fix these problems. No one seemed to care. In this industry structural screws have become a crucial part of our frames and unfortunately a lot of time gets spent on predrilling and dealing with the problem of stripping the heads or breaking the bits.
Last year my partner came to me with a new [ASSY®] screw. I could tell immediately that the heads were exactly what I had asked the competitor for. They also had a bigger shaft. Then it was pointed out that the main difference was the "drill bit" for lack of better words, above the threads. The problem was, these screws were almost twice the price as the others we used. I half-heartedly agreed to try a couple of boxes to see what I thought. I WAS AMAZED! The price of this screw was nothing compared to the time that was saved by the lack of predrilling (usually 30'+ in the air) and the fact that we have yet to strip a screw! As most builders know the most expensive part of a job is the labor. Not only is this a far superior screw, but it shaved hours of time off with labor."

"We have now completely turned our inventory over to Würth screws ranging from 6" to 16" and have had nothing but praise from the employees who use them!"
